About the role: Accept is currently recruiting in all areas of Metro South Australia and are looking for experienced home support workers and students studying community services, nursing or Allied Health to work with our clients in the community. Service types will include personal care, social support, meal preparation and domestic assistance.
To be successful in this very valued role, you must be
- Available for a minimum of 10 hours per week of work
- Warm and friendly
- Have a strong work ethic and reliability
- Show a positive and person-centred attitude
- Bring a flexible availability to work allocated shifts and to work extra shifts as needed
- Great communicator with a proficiency in English
- Have a genuine passion for providing high quality care and support
- Self-motivated, well-organised and able to work independently
- Be hard working and able to adapt to different situations in the work environment
- Demonstrate good personal judgment skills
- Good fitness level
You must be able to provide
- Certificate 3 or higher qualification in Individual Support, or
- Completed your first year of a relevant university degree or TAFE course – this could include nursing, physiotherapy, OT, social work.
- Current DCSI Screening - Working with Children and NDIS
- Current National Police Clearance (less than 12 months)
- Current Manual Handling, First Aid and CPR
- Valid Driver’s License
- Self-registered, reliable car with insurance
- Mobile phone and tablet/PC/laptop with internet connection.
- Available for immediate start
