The Role
As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards in food preparation, presentation, and hygiene. Collaboration with the front-of-house team is essential to delivering an exceptional dining experience. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in a senior kitchen role, formal culinary training, strong leadership skills, and a passion for creating innovative dishes. The ability to work under pressure, excellent knowledge of food safety, and strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a senior kitchen role within a busy restaurant environment.
- Formal culinary training or relevant hospitality qualifications.
- Strong leadership and people management skills to train and oversee kitchen staff.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations to maintain high standards.
- Creativity and passion for menu development, with the ability to introduce innovative dishes.
