We are seeking an experienced and proactive Retail Manager to oversee and enhance the daily operations of our petrol station, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Position Overview
As the Retail Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing store operations, stock control, staff supervision, and financial performance. Your key responsibilities will include overseeing fuel and shop sales, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and implementing strategies to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee day-to-day retail and fuel operations, ensuring efficient service delivery and smooth functionality of the store.
• Determine product mix, stock levels, and service standards to meet customer demands while ensuring optimal inventory management and cost control.
• Manage fuel stock levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure consistent availability and compliance with fuel storage regulations.
• Develop and implement purchasing, sales, and marketing strategies to drive business growth and maintain competitiveness.
• Monitor financial performance, prepare budgets, and identify areas for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including fuel handling and workplace safety requirements.
• Recruit, train, and supervise staff, ensuring high levels of customer service and team efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, stock movements, and operational reports.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints efficiently, fostering a positive and professional customer experience.
• Ensure store cleanliness, security, and maintenance, addressing any operational issues promptly.
Requirements
• Minimum of 1-2 years of proven experience in retail management, preferably in a petrol station, convenience store, or similar fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
• Experience in stock management, financial planning, and sales strategy implementation.
• Familiarity with fuel industry regulations, safety protocols, and environmental compliance is an advantage.
• Ability to analyze financial performance and implement cost-effective strategies for business growth.
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high safety standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management systems.
