About the opportunity
Are you looking for a work opportunity that is rewarding and varied? Are you interested in Aged Care but tired of shift work?
Mercy Health's Transitional Aged Care Program is a Community based 12 week program providing slow-stream rehabilitation and practical support to care recipients in their own homes. The AIN is responsible for providing practical support (eg. personal care, domestic assistance and transport) as well as social support and health monitoring under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
You will join an experienced and passionate team of Nursing and Allied Health professionals, all committed to helping care recipients reach their individual goals and be safe and confident living in their own homes. This is an opportunity for novice AINs and nursing and allied health students to gain valuable experience in a supportive, multidisciplinary team environment.

Certificate 3 in Individual Support or equivalent (or willingness to obtain)

Nursing or Allied health student suitably experienced in Aged Care, Home Care or acute/subacute care

Organized, reliable and accountable for your work within scope of practice

Ability to perform confidently without direct supervision

proficient computer skills
-
current driver's license (full unrestricted license)
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

A current Police Record Check.

Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
