About the Role

The role of Senior Program
Officer within the Fostering Innovation Branch of Investment NSW involves
facilitating and project managing a diverse range of programs and services
within Investment NSW. This includes overseeing the management and assessment
of applications, ensuring compliance with program guidelines and governance,
and ensuring that the application process is consistent and fair.

A significant aspect of
this role is providing high-quality, timely advice to the Associate Director
and Director, especially regarding program risks, governance, and the design of
grant programs. The Senior Program Officer is also tasked with developing and
implementing governance frameworks, performance measures, and assessment tools
to monitor progress and ensure that all milestones and deliverables are met.

Collaboration is at the
heart of this position, as it involves working closely with internal
stakeholders across the Fostering Innovation Branch. The Senior Program Officer
must effectively manage relationships, provide expert advice, and resolve
emerging issues related to program delivery. Additionally, the role requires
overseeing the preparation of reports, briefs, and other documentation to keep
key stakeholders informed and ensure that the program framework is continually
refined to ensure best practices in the administration and management of grant
programs.

  • You have strong project management skills and experience in the management of programs and services
  • You demonstrate experience in Governance & Risk.
  • You display excellent Communication & Stakeholder Management
  • You have high attention to detail and the ability to draft high-quality documents, ensuring compliance with program guidelines, eligibility criteria, and administrative procedures.
  • You are a problem solver and critical thinker capable of identifying emerging issues, providing recommendations, and making decisions to mitigate risks and ensure smooth program delivery.
  • You show commitment to supporting quality reviews and continuous improvement of program frameworks to ensure best practices are followed.
  • You are adaptable & resilient with the ability to manage multiple tasks and programs under tight deadlines, handling competing priorities and challenges effectively.
  • You are proficient in preparing reports, briefs, and correspondence for government and agency stakeholders to inform decision-making.
