We are currently seeking an energetic & high performing Planning Team Lead to join our close-knit team, located in Broadmeadow!
About Your Role:
Our Manufacturing & Maintenance – Transport business is seeking an experienced and dynamic Planning Team Lead to join our team. You will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of planners, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. You will play a critical role in aligning planning activities with our strategic goals, improving processes, and driving continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Planning & Procurement Manager you will\:

  • Lead and manage the project planning team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on skills and project needs.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and schedules.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and deadlines.
  • Allocate necessary resources (labour, equipment, materials) to project tasks.
  • Monitor resource utilisation and adjust plans to optimise productivity.
  • Ensure that all planning activities are aligned with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.


About You:
To be considered for the role you have a background in planning leadership, excellent team management skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement within production planning & heavy manufacturing environment.

  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, inventory management, capacity planning, and production scheduling.
  • Deep understanding of make vs buy decisions including EBOM to PBOM conversion.
  • Experience leading a team with proven ability to coach and mentor staff as part of their ongoing development.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP's Production Planning process, including, implementation, scheduling, materials requirements planning (MRP), and day-to-day management of production planning activities.
  • In-depth experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to analyse data to forecast demand, manage production schedules, and identify bottlenecks.
  • Ability to report on data in a clear and concise way to stakeholders and decision makers.


Qualifications & Certifications\:

  • Qualifications in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Manufacturing Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
