We have an exciting opportunity available for a Systems Monitoring Technician to join the APA Networks team in Kidman Park SA, on a permanent fulltime basis.

Reporting to the Supervisor Systems Monitoring, you will perform Maintenance activities on all Telemetry installations in SA and other States as instructed, as well as construct and install telemetry systems within the SA Metropolitan & Regional Systems and Pipelines throughout Australia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Construction, installation and maintenance of telemetry/SCADA equipment and electrical equipment
  • Installation, maintenance and calibration of electrical/electronic instruments used for gas measurement e.g. pressure and temperature transmitters, flow computers etc.
  • Carry out technical investigations of electrical/electronic systems, assess the results achieved and make recommendations based on this assessment
  • Assist the Engineering department for project work at the design and development stage
  • Daily scheduling and performing of routine and project work

Your background

  • Current Class A Workers Electrical Licence
  • Certificate I to IV in the Electrical discipline and related course work
  • Experience in handling hazardous materials
  • Understanding and experience with Electrical Instrumentation equipment and an understanding of the basic principles of gas measurement
  • Knowledge in general and technical software packages
