YOUR ROLE

The Learning Partner, School Effectiveness is a pivotal role in providing strategic advice and assisting in the implementation of school improvement, review and accountability initiatives at both the system-wide and regional levels. Under the direction of the Manager, School Effectiveness and Team Leader, School Effectiveness, the Learning Partner, School Effectiveness will contribute to the work and continuous improvement of all services provided by the School Effectiveness Team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Actively design content and support school and leader improvement networks, and the broader models of engagement with schools, with a focus on the implementation of the Vision for Instruction and improving student learning outcomes.
  • Develop high quality content and resources for school leaders aligned to MACS school review and school improvement initiatives.
  • Link and support schools strategically with sector professional learning initiatives that meet school identified needs.
  • Work collaboratively in a one-to-many approach to support Senior Managers, School Leadership (and with other MACS regional teams) to support schools to:
    • engage in data literacy and building data capability with Principals, leaders and staff
    • use evidence and data to evaluate school performance and progress, and to review and strengthen the development of School Improvement Plans (SIPs) and Annual Action Plans (AAPs)
    • prepare for the school review process within the school community
    • ensure the effective implementation of MACS frameworks, strategies, tools and initiatives.
  • Build teacher and leader knowledge and capability to lead improvement focused on improving student learning outcomes through models of engagement, including coaching, professional learning, and brokering external learning opportunities.
  • Identify, analyse and utilise data and evidence in dialogue with schools to enhance student learning through professional learning and leading improvement.

ABOUT YOU

  • Strong understanding of sector, state and national developments in school effectiveness, improvement, data, evaluation and research.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to creatively apply contemporary Catholic learning and teaching practices to improve student outcomes.
  • Demonstrated understanding of MACS policies and priorities for school improvement (Flourishing Learners, MACS 20230, MACSSIS, SIF Rubric, SIF, School Review et al.)
  • Ability to effectively analyse and use data to enable targeted professional support to adult learners and leaders.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, including:
    • experience in working collaboratively within and across school leadership teams
    • the ability to operate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
    • the ability to develop professional relationships based on trust and integrity
  • Outstanding verbal communication skills, including:
    • the ability to provide coaching, mentoring and brokered support for teachers and leaders
    • capacity to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, school leadership teams and teachers.

Salary range for this position is $78,021 (T2/1) - $115,737 (T2/6) per annum Choose an item. of superannuation as specified in the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 and may include additional allowances dependent on qualifications and experience.
