What does the job look like?
Linfox’s Intermodal business unit are currently seeking an MC driver with B-double experience to join the team located in Laverton North VIC. You will be responsible for safely delivering various palletised freight on changeover runs to Tarcutta. As a part of this role, you will be required to operate our automatic Volvo fleet pulling taught liner and refrigerated trailers, completing up to 5/6 loads per week and roughly 800+kms per shift. We currently have a permanent full-time opportunity available working Monday to Friday starting from 10:00pm or 11:00pm. Key areas:
- Deliver palletised general freight on change over runs to Tarcutta.
- Daily prestart checks, including refueling & maintaining truck interior.
- Comply with Linfox’s coupling & uncoupling procedures.
- Ensure loads are restrained appropriately.
- Communicate effectively with other drivers, supervisors & customers where needed.
- Commit to Linfox Safety Standards at all times to ensure that Vision Zero is a daily focus.
