About the Role
The successful candidate for this Head of Department (Secondary) Senior Schooling Curriculum role will possess key knowledge and understanding of Senior Schooling in state schools, have knowledge of QCAA, VET and other key requirements, understand how to track and manage student data, and be able to support staff in meeting the needs of various curriculum areas. The desirable candidate would also possess the skills of flexibility, approachability, and accountability whilst being a good communicator and team member with a strong work ethic. Other portfolio areas may be negotiated based on strengths and interests of the successful candidate.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
