We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to join our Melbourne based team and play a key role in our expanding ads business.
As an Engineering Manager you will join our Tech Leadership team in being the driving force in Rome2Rio’s mission.
You will be collaborating with a cross-functional team passionate about our product, play a part in influencing the direction of our product , and be provided the autonomy and resources to successfully align and deliver on OKRs.

What you’ll do
- Lead a team of 4-6 engineers to deliver OKRs
- Own delivery, quality and performance of the relevant part of the code base
- Working closely with Product, UX and Data Science teams to prioritise the outcomes to focus on
- Coach and mentor individual team members
- Play a key role in the technical decision making for the company as part of the tech leadership team

- Solid engineering background and the ability to review technical decisions and guide engineers effectively
- Strong people management skills and the ability to motivate and inspire teams
- Clear communication with engineers, product managers, and executives.
- Ability to make data-driven decisions and balance short-term goals with long-term vision.
- Experience in agile methodologies and process optimisation
