About The Opportunity
This is an on site position and the primary purpose is to provide high-quality business services and tax compliance support to clients while developing skills in business advisory. Reporting directly to the Principal, some of your responsibilities will include:
- BAS, IAS, and FBT return preparation and lodgement
- Assisting in business advisory and financial planning services
- Reviewing and adjusting client bookkeeping and payroll records
- Researching tax and compliance matters and liaising with the ATO
- Writing management reports and assisting in business plan development
- Engaging directly with clients via email, phone, and face-to-face meetings
- Preparation of financial statements and tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, SMSFs, and partnerships
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, and HandiSoft
- A completed tertiary qualification in Accounting
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A proactive, team-oriented approach with a willingness to learn
- 2-5 years of local experience in business services and taxation
- CA or CPA qualification (or currently studying towards completion)
