THE OPPORTUNITY

LLA is taking an important step towards maturing our cyber security environment and governance. The Business Analyst – Cyber Security will deliver cyber security initiatives within LLA, with a focus on remediation of Essential 8 audit outcomes, and support the preparation of LLA’s planned uplift to the ISO 27001:2022 standard in 2025.

Reporting to Head of Enterprise Portfolio Management Office, the role will work closely with the Head of Risk & Compliance, the Head of Technology Services, and the Technology Project Manager to deliver shared projects related to cyber security and LLA’s information security management environment.

The Cyber Security BA will also support the project to amalgamate the current technology and security infrastructure of LLA’s subsidiary, Lifeline Direct (LLD), into LLA’s environment in 2025.

The role will collaborate with LLA and LLD business units, and external vendors, to ensure that projects are delivered in line with project scopes and deliverables.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Document current state, identify gaps and document a roadmap to define proposed future state and inform the ICT strategy.
  • Review Essential 8 results and develop a remediation roadmap.
  • Review the information security requirements for ISO 27001:2022 standard and support the project manager in developing a plan for implementation in 2025.
  • Educate and raise awareness around the current controls, assist in design and development of training programs.
  • Revise and maintain relevant documentation.
  • Work with Risk and Technology teams to review and uplift reporting to the Executive and Board regarding cyber risk and information security.
  • Work with the Technology team on the implementation and operationalisation of the approved cybersecurity controls.

ABOUT YOU

  • Relevant experience delivering technology governance and cyber security initiatives.
  • Comprehensive understanding and working knowledge in Information Security Management, Essential 8 maturity model and the application of these frameworks guided by an applicable risk management framework. (e.g. ISO 27001).
  • Demonstrated ability to elicit and clearly document business and systems requirements.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles and technologies and experience applying security controls in a hybrid enterprise environment.
  • Strong understanding of good security practices, frameworks, and standards.
  • Extensive experience gathering and documenting requirements.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking capabilities, with an eye for detail and cost efficiency.
  • Experience with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Evidence of the right to work unrestricted in Australia.
  • National Police Record Check (current; renewed every two years).
