How will I help?
As a Digital Product Owner , you will work within our Consumer Digital Office , collaborating with Technology partners and stakeholders across the Westpac Group. Your role will be to define, lead, and execute digital solutions that deliver exceptional customer experiences across our multi-branded digital ecosystem—including websites, banking apps, and digital communication channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take accountability and product ownership in a scrum team, including gathering requirements, defining epics and detailed user stories with complete acceptance criteria, conducting user acceptance testing, and setting sprint goals and prioritisation.
- Deliver projects and initiatives to plan and budget with minimal defects.
- Facilitate requirements-gathering workshops, engage with feature teams, and participate in high-level development and design estimates.
- Support, consult, and provide training for content owners and digital producers managing content-managed experiences.
- Advocate for and raise awareness of existing content-managed capabilities to ensure proper utilisation and realisation of their benefits.
- Work closely with architects and tech leads to ensure alignment with industry standards, governance models, and enterprise solutions.
- Contribute to delivering strategic content management solutions with clear cost/benefit analysis.
- Identify opportunities for enhancing business processes by better leveraging digital technologies.

What do I need?
Skills & Experience Required:
- Passion for digital and delivering exceptional cross-channel experiences.
- Strategic and thought leadership in product ownership with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to challenge and resolve complex issues.
- Proven track record in delivering and driving digital capability adoption.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and foster teamwork across organisational boundaries.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and maintain flexibility and resilience in a fast-changing environment.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills to manage diverse stakeholder expectations effectively.
- Ability to prioritise competing demands and deadlines through various development stages using Agile delivery methodologies.
- Self-motivated and driven with a commitment to continuous learning and skill development.
- Strong hands-on experience with content management systems (Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) experience is highly desirable).
Experience Required:
- 2+ years in a digital production , digital product owner , or equivalent role.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with content management tools (Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) preferred – mid to advanced level).
- High proficiency in using Confluence and JIRA tools.
- Sound understanding of HTML , JSON , CSS , and APIs .
