How will I help?
Are you ready to elevate your marketing career? Join our Customer, Corporate Services (CCS) & HR team as an Events Manager, reporting to the Head of Events Marketing, and provide first-class marketing solutions to the Westpac Group. You'll offer expert advice on event marketing strategy and deliver high-quality results that bring our multi-brand strategy to life.
With a customer-centric approach, you'll support our sustainability agenda and help position us as the leading financial services company in Australia and New Zealand. This role involves partnering with a range of stakeholders at all levels of the organization for successful event outcomes. You will go from being deep in the data to analyse and create, to using your creativity and pragmatism to problem-solve and innovate.
Flexibility with travel and working hours, including weekends and evenings, is essential. In return, you will be surrounded by a high-performing and supportive team of marketing and event professionals, bringing to life Westpac Group’s multi-brand strategy.
What’s in it for me?
You’ll play a significant part in the future of a business that has been around for over 200 years. Our purpose is to create better futures together. So, we’ll back you in the development of your career, internal career prospects, and flexible working. You’ll also keep learning to grow your career, backed by a fantastic team of people with a can-do, supportive structure. Whatever shape your family takes, we offer generous paid and unpaid parental leave for your nominated primary and support carers. This includes leave to organize adoptions, surrogacy, and foster care arrangements. And we continue to pay your super contributions while you take all the time you need to get your new family settled.
What do I need?
You will have at least 2 years of experience in Financial Services or a corporate environment, including successful management of events (such as multi-day conferences). A strong understanding of digital technology in the events space, including webcasting, streaming, podcasts, interactive voting, webinars, and social media, is required. Additionally, you should demonstrate experience leveraging data analytics to enhance event experiences and drive decision-making.
You excel at implementing event strategies, translating creative ideas into successful outcomes, and partnering with stakeholders at all levels to achieve effective results. The ability to pivot from being immersed in data and detail to high-level creation of ideas and strategy is essential. If you thrive on problem-solving, are adaptable to change, and enjoy working as part of a team, we want to hear from you.
