Description:
UGL’s Maintenance & Manufacturing team in Broadmeadow is seeking skilled Electrical Trades professionals to join our Overhaul Components team. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity, working under UGL’s Newcastle Operations Enterprise Agreement. The schedule is a 9-day fortnight, with every second Friday off. Standard hours are Monday to Thursday, 5\:30 am – 2\:30 pm, and operating Friday, 5\:00 am – 1\:30 pm.
About Your Role:
In this role, you will report to the Service Delivery Manager and be responsible for fault finding, cable and component removal, as well as electrical disconnect and reconnect of mining equipment cabling. You'll be a key player in maintaining and overhauling critical components for the rail and mining industry.
What You:
- Australian-recognised Electrical trade certificate and Certificate of Proficiency
- Experience with mechanical or fitting, this role involves activities other than electrical
- Strong fault-finding abilities and a hands-on approach
- Ability to interpret schematics and production drawings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Reliability, punctuality, and commitment to safety practices
- Forklift licence – preferred
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team
- Working ability to use computers and ipad for data entry
- A focus on quality work and delivering customer service excellence
