  • Casual role, up to 12 hours per week, based on the Gold Coast across our Early Years Places in Nerang, Coomera, Coolangatta and Labrador.
  • $46.71 per hour (including casual loading) + Super.

About the role


Embark on an exhilarating journey at our vibrant Gold Coast Early Years Places, where families are at the heart of everything we do! Our Early Years Places offer a holistic blend of health services, family support programs and playgroups designed to empower parents and caregivers to cultivate strong, nurturing relationships with their child/ren and embrace their fullest potential.


As a vital member of our dynamic Early Childhood Team, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing the educational, social, and emotional growth of children (0-8) and their families. From captivating play programs to specialised groups and transformative parenting sessions, you will be at the forefront of fostering experiences that shape futures!


Duties



  • Facilitate play groups for parents and carers accessing the service.
  • Promote positive parent/child relationships through role modelling, education, and practical support.
  • Assist in incorporating child development interventions in playgroup settings.
  • Contribute to the development, evaluation, and implementation of intervention programs and services.
  • Utilize a strengths-based perspective to address families' identified needs and enhance family living skills.

Skills and Requirements



  • Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or similar field.
  • Understanding of Early Childhood Curricula, learning frameworks and childhood development.
  • A commitment to play based approaches to improve the long-term outcomes for children.
  • Experience in working with and supporting vulnerable families to realise positive change. Understanding of child protection issues and the ability to escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Great people skills and the ability to create strong working relationships with people from all walks of life.
