Description:

  • Full time ongoing role available
  • All NSW Resources / DPIRD office locations will be considered
  • Salary from $110K to $122K pa + super

NSW Resources (part of the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD)) are looking for a Finance and Reporting Officer to join the team.

In this business-critical role, you will be responsible for such things as:

  • The coordination of budget creation, forecasting, and ongoing monitoring of expenses including monthly reporting for the NSW Resources Executive team
  • Preparation of accrual and other journals
  • NSW Resources asset management including creation, disposal and stocktake,
  • Coordinating input into DPIRD corporate reports (E.g. Annual Report)
  • Coordinating responses to internal and external audits
  • Providing advice and support to all NSW Resources staff on procurement, and finance related matters

To be successful you’ll need to have appropriate tertiary qualifications or equivalent, or relevant professional experience and training. You’ll also need demonstrated knowledge of government financial processes, procedures, and planning, as well as outstanding attention to detail, the ability to analyse information and a collaborative and proactive approach to your work.
