Who are we looking for?
We're looking for an Air Quality Consultant to join our Air and Noise Team in the Melbourne office. The Melbourne air quality team has an established presence in the industry and local market with key relationships with clients and regulators. With a strong pipeline of work, you will be working closely with our key clients to deliver on a variety of exciting projects.

Working with an energetic and high-performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Preparing proposals for air quality services as part of a multi-disciplinary internal team or in direct collaboration with external clients.
- Undertaking air quality and odour assessments for a variety of clients across Australia and New Zealand as well as conducting fieldwork, including odour surveillance and deploying air quality equipment.
- Using data analysis and modelling techniques to assess meteorological conditions, and dispersion of air pollutants within the environment. Modelling will be carried out using models including AERMOD, CALPUFF, WRF and GRAL.
- Developing Air Quality Management Plans for implementation for operation sites to comply with Environmental Regulations.
- Providing technical mentorship to more junior members of the team
- Managing a broad variety of projects, working closely with the Project Director
What would you bring to the team?
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in science, meteorology, engineering, or similar, coupled with 2-5 years of relevant air quality and odour assessment experience within a consulting business environment in Australia
- Passionate about the health of our environment, with an interest in working in the field in air quality and atmospheric sciences as well as knowledge of regulatory requirements and relevant legislation
- Proficiency in air quality modelling software (e.g., AERMOD, TAPM, CALPUFF, WRF), GIS applications, and the ability to conduct analysis with R and python is also desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with support from the wider GHD air quality team
- A current Victorian driver’s license
