We are seeking a highly skilled Leading Hand - Welding/Fabrication specialist to take on a key role in our clients team. Specialising in custom design, fabrication, and manufacturing, delivering tailored solutions for industries across Australia.This position is ideal for a hands-on leader with expertise in welding, fabrication, and project coordination. You will play a crucial role in managing workflow, ensuring quality control, and mentoring team members while actively contributing to production.

- Supervise and coordinate daily workshop operations, ensuring efficiency and quality.
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks, maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD designs, and project specifications.
- Assist in planning and executing projects from inception to completion.
- Support the implementation of new technology and improved manufacturing processes.
- Train, mentor, and support apprentices and junior team members.
- Ensure workplace safety standards and compliance with WHS regulations.
- Liaise with management, clients, and suppliers to meet project requirements.
- Proven experience in welding, fabrication, and general engineering.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and CAD designs (experience with CAD software is a plus).
- Comfortable working with computer systems for project management and production tracking.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.
- Forklift license and relevant welding certifications (preferred but not essential).
