Skilled Trades Assistants – New Build Fuel Tanks

Our client, a leading Australian manufacturer of fuel tanks and fuel trailers, is seeking skilled Trades Assistants to join their workshop team.
Position Details:

• Hourly Rate: $42.50 per hour N/T
• Additional Benefits: Superannuation, Overtime, $27 per day travel allowance
• Payment Frequency: Weekly

Key Responsibilities:

Working under the guidance of the Workshop Manager, you will:

• Install new electrical and pump-related equipment
• Handle hydraulic and pneumatic parts
• Assist in various stages of the build process to ensure the production of high-quality fuel tanks and trailers.

Requirements:

• Experience as a Trades Assistant or in a similar fitting role
• Proficiency in installing trailer accessories
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Ability to work effectively under supervision
• Strong attention to detail

Desirable Skills:

• Safe operation of power tools
• Experience assisting tradespeople, especially Mechanical Fitters and Boilermakers
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work unsupervised
• Mechanical aptitude
• Basic understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics
• Good working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) practices
