OUtstanding opportunity to join a highly regarded broker looking to develop their Accident & Illness/Income Protection offering in Melbourne. The newly created role of Business Development Manager will see you responsible for:- Growing and developing new business through distributors and relationships across the construction industry
- Developing a sales strategy to maximise opportunities and bring on new business
- Meeting clients, supporting and educating them, and providing the highest level of service
- Reviewing market data and trends and looking at improvement opportunities to grow the business
- Providing regular reporting to the executive team
What you will bring:
- A proven track record of successfully developing business in the Accident & Illness/Income Protection market
- Experience in managing distributor relationships is particularly relevant for this role
- The ability to confidently present information to senior-level clients
- A passion for driving a new business sector with the Director's support, an ambitious self-starter
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to adapt to different user needs
- Strong written and verbal communication, and negotiation skills
- A customer-centric approach to everything you do
- Team player attitude, whilst having the maturity to work autonomously
