The Works Crew Member position is offered as ongoing , part-time at 0.8FTE (30.4 hours per week).

The Glenelg Hopkins Catchment Management Authority (CMA) was established in 1997 to effectively and efficiently deliver land, water and biodiversity programs that protect and enhance landscapes as well as support thriving communities.

About the role
The Works Crew deliver catchment management activities for, and in partnership with, public and private landholders, and community groups. It also plays a key role in supporting communities in the immediate response to natural disasters.
The Works Crew (min. 2 people) travel catchment wide to perform land management tasks. The Works Crew Member is responsible for undertaking allocated tasks assigned by the Works Crew Leader in a cooperative team environment.
About You
The successful applicant will possess a passion for working outdoors and demonstrated experience in land management activities such as fencing, plant identification, weed eradication and revegetation.
Experience using and maintaining a variety of power and hand tools is required as well as certifications in chemical use, chainsaw operation and tree felling (training can be provided).
The successful applicant would have a proven display of clear and effective communication skills, and the ability to work both alone, and as part of a team.

Mandatory Requirements
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
- Current National Police Check and Working with Children Check (can be obtained prior to appointment).
- Completion of a pre-employment medical declaration and an independent physical capability assessment.
