Seeking a technical expert to lead in a pivotal role within our Data and Network Analytics team. The Senior Data and Insights Analyst will oversee and deliver complex data and insights projects, contributing significantly to the strategic objectives of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management:
    • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of data and insights projects, aligning with the organization's business objectives and tracking quarterly goals.
    • Convert business requirements into technical specifications for actionable plans.
  • Technical Skills (Data and Insights):
    • Analyze complex datasets to extract meaningful insights, identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that align with business goals through advanced data querying and manipulation techniques.
    • Serve as a technical expert in at least one of the following areas: Data Science, Business Intelligence and Visualization, Data Engineering, Data Governance.
    • Champion the development and enhancement of data analysis processes and methodologies according to best practices.
  • Communication and Delivery:
    • Engage with stakeholders to define and understand business needs and requirements.
    • Collaborate in cross-functional project teams to deliver data and insights effectively.
    • Translate intricate data into clear, compelling narratives suitable for various audiences and present findings in high-level meetings.
  • Leadership:
    • Build and maintain a strong network of stakeholders within the organization to support the delivery of data and insight projects.
    • Offer training and opportunities for upskilling to improve team capabilities and knowledge.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating a capacity to deliver impactful insights.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven record in leading data and insight projects.
  • Proficiency in data querying/manipulation with tools such as SQL Server and Big Query.
  • Familiarity with data science programming languages, such as R and Python.
  • Experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and spatial analytics is highly valued.
  • Competency with BI and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) is beneficial.
  • Knowledge in database engineering and data governance is desirable.
Additional Requirements:
  • A degree in Data Science, Geography, Spatial Science/GIS, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment is preferred.
