Poultry Farm Workers (Labour Hire)

Workfront is a recruitment agency who employs people on a casual Labour hire arrangement for a variety of different industries.
We are currently seeking poultry farm workers for farms located in the Griffith, Hanwood, Goolgowi, Rankin Springs, Willbriggie & Narrandera area. Hours of operation will be determined on workload, flexibility to work weekends when rostered is essential. Ongoing employment opportunities available with potential for permeant employment with host employer for the right candidates.
You will be working alongside managers with day-to-day work on the poultry farms. Duties included but not limited to working in controlled environment shedding to assist with general labouring & livestock handling associated with housing & rearing baby chicks to fledge chickens. Eg:

• Working with livestock daily and making sure bird health and wellbeing is excellent.
• Daily shed routine checks, record keeping and grounds maintenance
• Completing minor repairs and reporting repairs to be made
• Culling sick/injured birds as required
• Cleaning out sheds
• Placing day old chickens into the production shed.

Essential requirements to be successful in this role:

• Be able to perform repetitive bending and lifting
• Be able to be standing on your feet for the majority of your shift
• Have strong safety focus and quarantine awareness, making sure environmental and quarantine standards are strictly adhered to
• Must possess tolerance to all aspects of the livestock industry
• Prior farming experience would be highly regarded but not essential
• Own vehicle and current driver's license.

Note: Strict quarantine regulations also apply - You MUST NOT have any contact with birds or pigs outside of work. Applicants must adhere to these strict requirements which includes showering on prior to commencing work.
