They are currently seeking a skilled Dental Technician to join their team. This role is crucial in designing, constructing, and repairing dental appliances to support patient care and treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and create full and partial dentures that are customised to fit patients’ mouths comfortably and accurately.
- Perform repairs on dentures, crowns, bridges, and other dental appliances to restore their functionality and appearance.
- Construct orthodontic devices such as retainers, space maintainers, and mouth guards according to orthodontist specifications.
- Remove deposits from teeth, administer fluoride treatments, and use remineralising solutions and desensitising agents to enhance oral health.
- Assist in educating children about good oral health behaviours and promoting proper hygiene.
- Utilise impressions to create accurate dental models that serve as templates for constructing dental appliances.
- Smooth and polish dental appliances to ensure they are comfortable for the patient and meet aesthetic standards.
- Assist in taking dental radiographs (X-rays) to provide clear images for diagnostic and treatment planning purposes.
- Inspect completed dental appliances to ensure they meet the practice’s standards for accuracy, fit, and finish.
- Work closely with dentists and dental assistants to understand patient needs and ensure the correct specifications for dental appliances.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Diploma in a highly relevant field
- At least 1 year of work experience as a Dental Technician.
- Proficiency in using dental laboratory tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Salary:
The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $70,000 - $80,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
