PHE Engineer is seeking an experienced and driven Principal Electrical Engineer to take a key leadership role in delivering industry-leading projects across power, mining, and industrial sectors. Based in our newly renovated Fortitude Valley office, this permanent full-time position (Monday to Friday) offers the opportunity to work on high-profile, multiyear projects with some of Australia’s most trusted Tier 1 clients.

Your Role & Responsibilities
- Lead & mentor a team of design engineers to deliver high-quality, safe, and cost-effective solutions.
- Oversee and certify project deliverables, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety protocols.
- Design MV and LV power systems, including reticulation, protection coordination, earthing, and lightning protection studies.
- Drive technical excellence in power system analysis using PowerCad, PTW, or ETAP.
- Facilitate client and stakeholder engagement, ensuring strong relationships and project success.
- Support major industrial sectors, including Hydroelectric and Gas Power Stations, Oil & Gas, and Mining operations.
About You
- Chartered Electrical Engineer (CPEng) with 5+ years of experience in power and industrial electrical engineering.
- Strong expertise in HV substations, protection systems, automation, and instrumentation.
- Experience in design assurance, compliance, and certification (RPEQ preferred).
- Skilled in technical reporting, project scoping, and stakeholder communication.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and power system analysis software (PowerCad, PTW, ETAP highly regarded).
- Leadership experience in coaching, mentoring, and team development.
- Willingness to travel for project assignments when required.
