About the Role
Step into an exciting Assistant Buyer role and be part of a high-performing product and marketing team that has their finger on the pulse of market trends. You'll take ownership of product development from concept to completion, working closely with suppliers, driving negotiations, and ensuring each product release is a success. You'll have the chance to bring your creativity and commercial acumen to life - from selecting colours and styles to planning product launches and promotional campaigns. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where your ideas and contributions truly matter.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a buying, assistant buying, or product development role
- Confident negotiator with proven ability to build strong supplier relationships
- Skilled in data analysis and forecasting to support strategic decision-making
- Highly organised, able to juggle timelines, priorities, and product lifecycles
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Creative flair with an eye for trends, colour, and design
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Team player who thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving environment
- Prior retail experience (on the floor or head office) is highly regarded
