Our client, a QLD Government Department, is seeking to engage an experienced Senior Business Analyst.
About the Role
The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for leading efforts to streamline and automate timesheet management processes. Working closely with business stakeholders, your role will focus on mapping and improving current timesheet checking modules and identifying opportunities for automation through existing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Mapping current timesheet processes through collaborating with internal teams to document existing timesheet validation, checking procedures, and associated workflows, ensuring all steps are clearly understood and analysed.
- Identifying automation opportunities by assessing current systems and tools available within the agency, and proposing solutions to automate timesheet management, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Developing detailed project documentation, including progress reports, milestones, and risk assessments, for senior officers, management, and stakeholders.
- Identifying risks and issues in relation to the automation and implementation of new timesheet processes, maintaining risk registers, and working on mitigation strategies to address and resolve challenges.
- Developing, maintaining critical relationships with partners, stakeholders and service providers for the purpose of achieving and sustaining high level outcomes.
- Promoting an effective working culture by capturing and sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues to develop a sense of collaboration among team members.
To be successful in this role the candidate will have demonstrated analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills and an ability to coordinate multiple tasks within agreed priorities, timeframes, and accountabilities. Experience in a project and business analytics environment, including process mapping, ICT solution management, reporting, risk management, an ability to coordinate the delivery of work packages and understanding of project methodologies would be advantageous.
