The Team:

Huon and Kingston Community Nursing provides comprehensive nursing care, assessment, referral, and clinical management to clients of all ages in their home. Community Nursing operates home visits and clinic appointments. Administrative staff support all centre users for this service group.

Our team works closely together to deliver excellence in healthcare. We aim to achieve improved outcomes in partnership with our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community. Care and service delivery is provided with stunning backdrops, hills, pristine waterways, National Parks, World Heritage Area, D’Entrecasteaux Channel and Huon River.

The Role:

You will provide efficient administrative and reception services to the Huon and Kingston Community Nursing Team, utilising a range of software packages and office equipment, in accordance with established Agency policy, guidelines and procedures.

You will need:

  1. Demonstrated skills in understanding contemporary office administration practices, including the ability to provide confidential, high quality administrative support in a client focused environment.
  2. Sound knowledge of, and experience in, the use of a broad range of software packages and information systems, including word processing, spreadsheets and databases and the ability to quickly become adept in the use of new systems.
  3. Well-developed interpersonal skills, including oral and written communications skills, appropriate to undertaking administrative and receptions duties in a health service environment.
  4. Capacity to organise and prioritise duties and work effectively with minimum supervision in an environment subject to work pressures and change.
  5. Ability to exercise initiative, judgement and discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term, casual, day worker position, working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for a period of two (2) years.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $66,049 to $70,993 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
