Sous Chef-Kimberley Region-Remote Western Australia

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef for this busy venue located in the Kimberley Region of remote Western Australia.
The successful applicant will need to have previous experience in a high-volume establishment cooking bistro style meals. Candidates should be able to provide leadership to the kitchen team while supporting the Head Chef. Must be fast on pans and grill and able to work across all sections of the kitchen.

The town offers great facilities including mobile coverage with Telstra (patchy Optus and Vodafone also available), shopping and an airport with regular flights.
There are many great ways to spend your days off; explore the local community, learn about the local history or experience the surrounding attractions. Whether you choose to take a tour or explore on your own, there are plenty of stunning places to see including national parks, waterholes and lookouts.
Pay Details:

• $75,000 per annum
• Accommodation & Meals Provided
• Own room

IMMEDIATE START
Duties:

• Provide leadership in the kitchen supporting the head chef with daily kitchen operations
• Supervision of other chefs
• Prep & Cooking of Bistro / A la carte style meals
• Able to work across all sections of the kitchen
• Be able to work in a busy environment and take direction from the head chef
• Able to adhere to food hygiene practices
• Work as part of a small team

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Hold or be able to obtain a Food Handlers Certificate prior to commencement

Other Information:

• Access via sealed roads or daily buses and flights available.
