Founded in 2018, The Junction Co. commenced as a creative enterprise collaboration specialising in in-place activation and learning experiences. Since its inception, it has evolved into a well-established not-for-profit organisation with a clear vision to engage, grow and empower regional creatives. The organisation advocates and connects regional creatives with workspace, learning opportunities and networks, to uplift their endeavours and create an environment in which both local community and creatives can support each other.

The team is made up of creative entrepreneurs, artists, strategists, graphic designers, place activators, facilitators, teachers and lovers of craft who also seek to actively improve community participation and engagement, encourage a balance of work and play, improve the livability of local communities and assist in strengthening the Pilbara identity.

The Position:

Reporting to the Board, the CEO will be tasked with leading a dynamic regional team. This role is full-time and is based in the Pilbara.

You will be responsible for the achievement of the organisation’s strategic objectives through:

  • Operational and strategic leadership;
  • Ensuring governance & compliance requirements are met;
  • Strong stakeholder and partner management; and
  • Delivery of programming activities.

About You:

Like many Arts organisations, The Junction Co. owes much of its success to the quality of its partnerships. The incoming CEO must have outstanding relationship development and management skills, able to work effectively with a professional Board, with all levels of Government, the corporate sector, donors / philanthropists, the creative community and lovers of the Arts. Additionally, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • A strong community, arts and creative enterprises focus;
  • Previous relevant experience as a leader;
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and accountability; and
  • A collegiate leadership style, promoting trust and harmonious working relationships.
