We are looking for a talented Electrical Technician to join our Power Generation Team in Perth. This role will see you as part of a workshop-based maintenance and upfit team working on power generators up to 3350KVA **.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:*
- Deliver a first-class service to our customers
- Work on generator sets and engine control panels, diagnostics and repairs, along with scheduled and unscheduled service works of prime and standby generators
- Troubleshooting and diagnostics on engines up to 3350KVA
- Modifying wiring looms/diagrams
- Commissioning of new generators/systems, transfer switches and master controllers
- Working closely with the Mechanical Service team
- Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues / incidents to the Field Service Supervisor
- Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.

- Be a trade qualified Electrician
- Full Drivers licence

- Diagnostics Application: Translating customer complaints to develop troubleshooting plans; troubleshooting issues following guided workflows, procedures, and specialized equipment such as mechanical and electronic service tools, and diagnosing computer software to isolate failed components to enable a successful repair; validating repair by duplicating complaints to ensure it has been resolved; documenting results of troubleshooting in business systems to communicate what has been done for payment and historical tracking.
- Electronic Service Tool Application: Identifying the suite of available hardware and software tools required for a service event; utilizing the appropriate electronic tool set to maintain the product or diagnose and troubleshoot an issue; interpreting electronic tool results or recommendations to determine next steps for service resolution.
- Engine Systems Interactions: Interpreting and analyzing the interactions of internal and external electrical and mechanical systems (exhaust, heating, cooling, fuel systems, driveline, aftertreatment, controls, sensors, etc.) by applying tools, service publications (Cummins, Original Equipment Manufacturer) and taking measurements to efficiently and correctly diagnose and repair.
- Power Generation Systems Knowledge: Demonstrating knowledge of Cummins and industry standards by complying with all safe work procedures including Personal Protective Equipment to create a safe work environment; interpreting and analyzing Power Generation system operation and integration (switch gear, power system controls, uninterruptable power supply, etc.) by applying tools, service publications (Cummins, Original Equipment Manufacturer) and taking measurements to efficiently and correctly diagnose and repair.
- Product Repair and Maintenance: Repairing and maintaining mechanical/electrical products following guidelines, using required tools within standard repair time to ensure a quality repair; disassembling and assembling engines or power generators following guidelines, using required tools to ensure a clean and organized environment; inspecting and replacing parts and components following re-use guidelines to minimize customers' cost of ownership; performing progressive damage checks following guidelines to restore to pre-failure condition.
- Service Documentation: Creating and verifying customer, equipment, and technical information; capturing specific data using required service tools; following procedures and documenting required information in the service management system to have an accurate record of the work done.
- Technical Escalation: Obtaining product technical issue information and utilizing available resources including data management tools; elevating issues to a higher level of expertise, balancing timeliness of customer response with investigation efforts; capturing all troubleshooting steps in the appropriate database to ensure seamless transitions and accurate response to ticket resolution in a timely manner.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- Preferred: Apprentice Certified Power Generation/Electrical Technician.
- Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution.
- Current relevant electrical certification.
- Valid driving permit.
Experience:
- Basic field service work experience.
- Intermediate knowledge of power generation products.
- High Voltage/Low Voltage experience.
- Customer service experience.
