Job DescriptionThis will position will have you showcasing your Electrical experience across our major customer sites across the Pilbara. For this role based out of Perth on a 2:1 FIFO (fly-in-fly-out) roster & reporting into the Service Manager - FMG , you will be responsible for:
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical and mechanical inspections, scheduled servicing, and routine maintenance in accordance with relevant Australian standards, manufacturer and SHEQ requirements
- Support FMG BIB’s VIA FIFO or DIDO depending on the requirements
- Troubleshoot equipment issues to determine cause of problems / failure
- Repair equipment to restore it to full functionality
- Carry out electrical load testing of generators and other hire equipment
- Complete electrical testing and tagging of all electrical tools and equipment
- Carry out electrical inspections, upgrades and instals for portable buildings in accordance with current AS/NZS 3001 standards
- Ensure all required paperwork is completed and submitted in full and on time
- Assist in monitoring reliability and equipment readiness for hire at branch level
Desired Skills and Experience
- Relevant Electrical trade certification
- Dual trade qualification in Refrigeration/Hvac (desirable, but not essential)
- High Risk Work Licence LF (forklift), High Risk Work Licence WP (elevating work platform)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Safety focused mindset
- Ability to work effectively in a workshop environment
- FIFO experience (desirable, but not essential)
