Your role at St John of God Geraldton Hospital
As a senior member of the Hospital Executive team, you will provide outstanding leadership across the hospital portfolio in relation to all aspects of commercial management, financial performance and line management of relevant service departments within the hospital.
You will lead, manage and develop services and caregivers within the defined portfolio and manage the provision of services from / to of Group Finance Shared Services on behalf of the Hospital.

Ensure effective capital budget planning.

Provide operational support to facilitate agreed service developments and changes to improve efficiency.

Monitor predicted fluctuations in activity levels to enable effective resource planning and achievement of financial targets.

Contribute to an environment that ensures achievement of key accreditation and licensing requirements; including ACHS and LARU

Ensure compliance with all relevant guidelines, SJG directives, policies and procedures

Ensure compliance with all relevant food, engineering and Infection Control standards.

Research, benchmark, design, implement and evaluate models of corporate service delivery which are conducive to best practice and enhance business performance.

Empower a workforce to deliver excellent patient experience across all service domains.

Assist in the achievement of an NPS score of 75 in all clinical areas, with an aspirational stretch target of 85

Demonstrate productive and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally.

Ensure effective engagement with WACHS stakeholders to ensure success of key public contract work.

Develop a strong culture of commercial performance management, performance improvement and stewardship.

Monitor hospital performance including productivity on a daily, weekly, fortnightly, and ongoing basis to ensure compliance with agreed budgeted measures and improvement plans. Engage with departmental managers and executive members where performance does not meet expectations and actively inform the Hospital CEO/DON of ongoing performance shortfalls.

Undertaking a leadership role in Revenue Assurance activities and processes to safeguard income streams and ensure a high standard of compliance hospital wide.
You will hold a tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, or Business and be a member of CPA, ICAA (or an equivalent qualifications). In addition, you will have significant leadership experience in a senior management role within a large, complex organisation. Your background should demonstrate extensive expertise in accounting and financial management, along with a strong track record in leading corporate services or similar service lines.
You will possess highly developed skills in facilitation, negotiation, and leadership, with a proven ability to make sound decisions and lead teams effectively. Strong leadership capabilities and decision-making skills are essential for this role.
To succeed in this role, you will have a proven track record of driving financial performance and achieving outcomes in a challenging and dynamic environment. You will demonstrate a proactive approach in engaging with senior management to deliver on operational plans, and have the ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels both within and outside of St John of God Health Care. You will bring experience in developing financial models to inform strategic and operational decision-making, along with strong conceptual and analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
