Summary:
Allied Pumps Pty Ltd are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment across all industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and install mechanical systems and equipment according to specifications
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems and equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues
- Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Keep accurate records of work performed
Qualifications and Skills:
- 3 years relevant experience, or Certificate IV or Certificate III with 2 years’ experience as per the ANZSCO requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
