Are you a forward-thinker with a passion for innovation in the digital world? Do you thrive on staying ahead of technology trends and finding new ways to enhance digital experiences? We’re looking for a Digital Experience (UX) Designer to lead the design of intuitive, customer-focused digital experiences. This role is central to improving accessibility, usability, and overall satisfaction with Council’s digital services. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders, leverage emerging technology, and drive innovation to deliver better outcomes for our community.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing seamless digital experiences – Create intuitive and accessible interfaces and self-service solutions that enhance customer interactions.
- Aligning digital solutions with strategy – Ensure technology and digital tools support the objectives of the CX Action Plan.
- User research & testing – Conduct customer research, usability testing, and journey mapping to refine digital services.
- Driving digital transformation – Identify opportunities to improve processes, automate routine tasks, and enhance scalability.
- Project leadership – Collaborate with teams across Council to define project goals, manage risks, and implement digital solutions effectively.
- Stakeholder engagement – Work closely with internal teams and external technology partners to translate complex ideas into practical, user-friendly outcomes.
- Continuous improvement – Use data and insights to refine digital experiences and stay ahead of industry trends.
- Expertise in customer service software, CRM systems, contact centre platforms, and other omni-channel systems, applying theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios.
- Knowledge of digital experience platforms and industry best practices to align with the CX Action Plan.
- Strong skills in UX research, wireframing, prototyping, and digital interface design with a focus on accessibility and usability.
- Experience managing digital projects using Agile or Scrum methodologies, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with strategic goals.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical outcomes.
- A passion for improving customer experiences through digital solutions, with a continuous improvement mindset.
- In depth knowledge of CX Systems, including customer relationship management, voice of the customer, workforce optimisation and PABX/Telephony systems.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to engage a diverse range of stakeholders and develop, prepare, and present comprehensive reports.
- Demonstrated experience in developing Management Information systems, including a strong focus on Microsoft Excel, MS Applications, Oracle, Power Bi, SQL, Java, Python along with system workflows and data governance.
- Tertiary degree in a design field or equivalent
