The CompanyOur client, a market leader in their category, are currently looking to recruit a Project Engineer to oversee site based capital projects in their Bunbury manufacturing plant, who will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of operational projects through executing and delivering engineering projects on time, within budget and to the specification / scope.
The Role
Reporting to the Site Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Plan, execute, and oversee industrial capital projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely, budgeted, and scoped delivery.
- Working autonomously and with project teams to manage the program of planned capital works.
- Accurately define and/or solve complex Mechanical/Processing engineering problems where alternatives are not self-evident and the implications of possible solutions have not been considered.
- Driving project objectives to a high standard within a defined framework of systems and processes.
- Pro-actively seek continuous improvement opportunities within the business.
In order to be successful in this role you will be:
- Qualified at a degree level in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineering (required).
- Minimum 5 years project engineering experience gained within a complex food manufacturing environment, leading multi discipline projects from start to completion.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to motivate, influence and engage a broad group of stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of Project Management methodology and the ability manage, report on and execute complex capital projects.
- Familiarity with Western Australian safety compliance reporting and permit to work documentation.
