CORE’s mission is to provide individualised client-centric services, empowering vulnerable communities for optimal outcomes for all individuals.
As an established organisation, CORE is a preferred provider of choice within the community with a large portfolio of bilingual staff and clients. CORE’s Drug & Alcohol program helps young people aged 12 to 25 living within Fairfield and Liverpool Local Government Areas to overcome drug addiction and alcoholism enabling them to live a purposeful and positive life.
Reporting to the Youth Services Manager, the AOD Case Worker will be responsible for:
- Developing, implementing and evaluating centre based and outreach programs;
- Promoting and marketing programs to build client and community’s awareness;
- Providing alcohol and other drug counselling and support to individuals and the community;
- Delivering information and raising awareness of the impact of both illicit and legal drugs;
- Consulting with stakeholders to develop early intervention and prevention programs.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work or Community Services is highly desirable;
- An understanding of issues affecting young people and the community;
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills;
- Strong report writing and data analysis skills.
