Due to ongoing growth, our client now has an exciting opportunity for a talented and dedicated Electrical Engineer experienced in switchboard design to join their team.You will join our client's Australian manufacturing company (50 years of Electrical & Engineering excellence!) based in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne!

Your responsibilities will include:
- Design of LV/MV/HV Electrical systems including Main Switchboards, Motor Control Centres, Sivacon S8, Distribution Boards, PLC panels, control panels and outdoor enclosures. Design and AutoCAD drafting of general arrangements, single line diagrams and schematic diagrams of switchboards, kiosks and switchrooms.
- Working with a team of 10 design engineers on major projects in Australia.
- Involvement in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) / Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and commissioning.
- Project management.
Essential requirements for this role:
- 4-5 years experience in Switchboard Design
- Tertiary Engineering qualification.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Proficient use of AutoCAD, Solidworks and Microsoft Office packages.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Willingness to work as directed.
Your technical skills
- 4-5+ years’ experience.
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Experience with electrical design software such as AutoCAD, PowerCAD, Solidworks.
- Project management experience.
- Excellent knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and SIRs.
- Possess excellent knowledge and experience with commonly used supplier equipment such as Siemens, ABB, Schneider and NHP.
- Sivacon 8 experience highly regarded
