About the role
As Assistant Facilities Manager, you'll play a critical role in managing the day-to-day operations of a complex portfolio. Acting as the on-site point of contact, you'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery across procurement, vendor management, financial operations, safety, and compliance. You'll support the Facilities Manager and be instrumental in driving operational efficiency and client satisfaction across the account.
Responsibilities
- Act as a key liaison between the client and internal stakeholders, ensuring all service expectations are met
- Oversee vendor performance, procurement processes, and contract lifecycle management
- Manage financial operations including budgeting, reporting, and compliance
- Support building operations, maintenance, and helpdesk services to ensure smooth day-to-day delivery
- Promote continuous improvement, risk mitigation, and adherence to safety standards across sites
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have: - A degree in facilities management, property, business or related discipline, or 3-5 years' experience in a similar facilities role
- Demonstrated experience managing vendor relationships and service delivery in a critical environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with exceptional attention to detail
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements, building systems, and risk management protocols
