Your opportunity

Working as the Cyber Security Design Specialist you'll be responsible for the development of the cyber security designs, security implementation plans and configuration of EQL systems, networks, services and devices. With a focus on ensuring EQL information assets are protected from cyber security threats.

Your communication skills will be required as you facilitate the collaboration between project teams, architects, Cyber Security risk specialists and data team members on EQL system requirements, including the outworking of constraints and finding solutions with implementable designs. You'll also be required to perform other duties within the scope of cyber security governance, risk, and compliance as needed.

This role can be based at any one of our major EQL locations including Brisbane, Toowoomba, Maryborough, Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville, or Cairns.

The remuneration for your new role is from $158k + 14.75% superannuation.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Business or related discipline and/or demonstrated knowledge and capability is essential.
  • Experience with security suites from major vendors, Utility and SCADA environment implementations and Agile and DevOps methodologies;
  • Demonstrated understanding of end-to-end security controls and security risk management.

We’d also love you to have

  • It would be desirable for you to have Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Sherwood Applied Business Security Architecture (SABSA), System, Audit, Network, Security (SANS) certification or similar industry certification.
