About the Role

Join our team as a Nurse Consultant and play a vital role in providing expert clinical nursing care to clients requiring partner notification for notifiable sexually transmitted infections. You will empower clients with education and guidance to proactively manage public health risks while ensuring evidence-based care and follow-up. In this role, you will also provide clinical leadership and education to health professionals across both government and non-government sectors, supporting best practices in partner notification and client care.

This role offers a high level of autonomy and decision-making, with opportunities to work across various SA Health sites. Depending on the practice model, you may provide direct nursing care, offer leadership and supervision to nurses engaged in partner notification, or lead clinical projects to improve client and service outcomes. As an expert in your field, you will be accountable for your practice, ensuring high standards of care, professional guidance, and alignment with policy and public health principles.

About You

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse with a passion for sexual health and public health education. You will have the expertise to provide clinical leadership, client support, and partner notification services , ensuring high-quality, confidential care.

• Qualifications & Experience – Registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing Board of Australia , with at least three years of relevant post-registration experience .
• Skills & Abilities – Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills , with the ability to build rapport with clients and discuss sensitive health information with confidence.
• Commitment to Quality Care – A proactive and adaptable approach to prioritising workloads , responding to outbreaks, and delivering evidence-based sexual health services .
• Knowledge & Compliance – Understanding of legislation, ethical standards, and national safety guidelines , with proficiency in data analysis and health-related software .
