What’s on offer?
We are seeking Project Engineer for an intersection improvement and shoulder widening project in Balranald, NSW, for Iluka Resources. The role will be based on site (drive in drive out) for the duration of the project (up to August with the potential of this to be extended). On top of a competitive salary, extra project allowances, food and accommodation will be provided for the duration of the project.
You will have full project oversight for ensuring safety, cost, quality and time targets are met. You will oversee the subcontractor’s deliverables and report to senior management on the performance of your scope of works. We will look to you to:
- Deliver projects in accordance with contractual obligations and company policies/procedures;
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal & external stakeholders;
- Lead & support a culture of Living Safely and oversee HSEQ compliance;
- Project Management including programming/scheduling, contractual administration, procurement and technical aspects;
- Financials including, monthly reviews, progress claims, cost valuations, budgets and forecasting.
How you’ll connect to the role:
You have a Bachelor’s in civil engineering and experience in project delivery across mid to large scale civil projects, with experience in pavements and road works. As this is a leadership role, you will need to bring a mentoring and coaching mindset to developing and growing your team’s capability and productivity. Your advanced communication skill and extensive experience in liaising with subcontractors will see you succeed in this role.
Whilst an initial contract role, this position can provide you with a "foot in the door" to the broader Fulton Hogan business and as we endeavour to hire internally wherever possible, this position could lead on to a secure permanent employment opportunity at the end of this contract.
