Are you passionate about ensuring facilities are well-maintained and conducive to a high-quality healthcare environment? We are seeking a dedicated Facility & Grounds Officer to join our team and contribute to the upkeep of both the interior and exterior of our health unit. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your practical skills while supporting the health and safety of our patients and staff.
About the Role:
As a Facility & Grounds Officer , you will be responsible for general facility maintenance, including tasks such as rubbish collection, minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, mechanical, and grounds maintenance. You will work closely with the Hotel Services Manager on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that all maintenance work is carried out efficiently and safely. Ultimately, you will be responsible to the Executive Officer/Director of Nursing, contributing to a safe and well-functioning healthcare environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to be an integral part of our healthcare team and make a lasting impact on the facility's upkeep and overall care environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in building and ground maintenance.
- Experience in the use of computer packages eg. Microsoft Word, Excel.
- Experience in exercising own judgment and initiative in the day-to-day execution of a position.
- Experience and knowledge of plant and equipment operation and maintenance.
