- Salary $1,155 - $1,166.60 p.w. (pro rata) WHA5 | Part Time, 24 hours p/w, Ongoing
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Endoscopy Technician to join our Flinders Medical Centre Endoscopy Unit.
Join the Flinders Medical Centre Endoscopy Unit, which provides a prompt and efficient endoscopic service to FMC and the southern region. The Endoscopy unit aims to continuously evaluate and improve patient services through Clinical Practice Improvement and Redesigning Care initiatives.
About the Role:
As the Endoscopy Technician, your duties may include:
- Collecting contaminated equipment in a safe, protected transport system
- Reprocessing in automatic washer
- Racking and surveillance of endoscopic accessories
- Documenting drying and storage of endoscopes appropriately
- Performs all micro testing of scopes and automated endoscope reprocessors in accordance to GENCA standards
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Australian Qualification framework (AQF) Certificate III relevant to employee’s position and at least 560 hours satisfactory in service experience
- Demonstrated in service experience, including engaging in direct client contact within a service provision environment.
- Displays respectful, friendly, empathetic, helpful and courteous behaviour towards patient, visitors and fellow staff members
- Experience applying quality control techniques and performing duties, including interpreting complex instructions and procedures under broad guidelines.
