About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Southern Metropolitan team as a CAHMS Clinician, where you will be responsible for: (see role descriptions below for more)

  • Undertaking the assessment of, and the development of formulations for, both individuals and families, using knowledge and techniques available from a variety of therapeutic approaches, to determine the most appropriate interventions.
  • Clinical documentation records are maintained in accordance with organisational policy.
  • Acting as a consultant and resource person to CAMHS, other agencies and the community by providing information and education regarding child, adolescent, and family mental health.
  • Promotes access and equity of services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people and their families.
  • A team environment, which promotes positivity, learning and development, safety and welfare of employees, acknowledges cultural and personal differences, and encourages creativity, innovation and honesty.

  • Communicate and work with other professionals, facilitate group functions and work as a team member.
  • Work with a high degree of responsibility with limited supervision and direction.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work with individuals and families for positive mental health outcomes and to foster productive working relationships across disciplines.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the development of personal and professional skills.
