About the Role
As the Principal Clinical Psychologist, you will be a key leader within the CALHN Mental Health Clinical Program (MHCP), overseeing the clinical governance and providing professional leadership across psychology services. Your role will involve working closely with various stakeholders to drive service development, ensuring best practice standards are met while facilitating professional training and clinical support. You will have a significant impact on the delivery of high-quality services by guiding quality improvement initiatives, adhering to compliance standards, and ensuring clinical supervision and credentialing requirements are met.
In this dynamic leadership role, you will also collaborate with the Co-Directors of Psychology and other Principal Discipline Leads on inter-professional projects, provide expert advice on professional psychology issues, and contribute to strategic initiatives surrounding health reforms and workforce development. You will be responsible for the clinical supervision of Senior Clinical Psychologists and other psychology professionals, and may also manage a clinical caseload alongside your leadership responsibilities. You will bring:
- Expert Clinical Leadership – Extensive experience in clinical leadership, strategic service planning, and workforce development to drive best-practice Clinical Psychology services.
- Advanced Clinical Expertise – Proven ability to deliver evidence-based psychological interventions and assessments for individuals with severe and complex mental health needs.
- High-Level Communication & Collaboration – Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with multidisciplinary teams, provide PsyBA-accredited supervision, and contribute to clinical governance and service improvement.
- Strategic & Research Capability – Demonstrated ability to lead research initiatives, manage complex projects, and apply data-driven decision-making to enhance mental health service delivery.
