The Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at SALHN leads the development and execution of strategic priorities to ensure the delivery of high-quality health services for the Southern Adelaide community. Working closely with the CEO and Executive Team, the CSO drives SALHN's Strategic Plan 2023-27, manages complex projects, and fosters key stakeholder partnerships. The role focuses on continuous improvement, governance, and risk management, while aligning services with state and government objectives. About the role:

Duties for the role will include:

• Ensure high-quality, safe care aligned with SALHN's Strategic Plan, Excellence Framework, and Consumer Engagement Plan.
• Lead and manage resources, including human, financial, and physical assets, to achieve strategic and operational goals.
• Develop and foster a positive work culture, focusing on patient-centered service, employee safety, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee performance reporting, strategic clinical service planning, and budget management to optimize outcomes and ensure compliance with Service Agreement requirements.
• Lead strategic initiatives, stakeholder partnerships, and the implementation of SALHN's continuous improvement and project management frameworks to drive innovation and achieve organizational objectives.

About you:

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to build relationships, motivate teams, and manage complex, high-pressure environments.
• Expertise in driving change, with a strategic approach to health reform, e-health, and emerging trends in national and international health services.
• Proven experience in leading large-scale change management, system implementations, strategic program planning, and achieving positive outcomes across multiple stakeholders.
• Extensive knowledge of quality management, risk management, workforce metrics, and safety standards, alongside strong understanding of government processes, policies, and the socio-political landscape impacting health services.
• Relevant undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications suitable for an Executive Level position.
