Grade 1 Weekend Dietitian – 0.05EFT permanent (Sunday: 1 x shift per fortnight – 4hrs)
The Role:
An opportunity exists for a Dietitian to join the team at Northern Health.
The role works to promote best practice in service provision to acute medical inpatients at The Northern Hospital on weekends. You will be well supported to develop your skills and expertise with the friendly and passionate weekend dietetics team.
This position collaborates closely with the multidisciplinary team including medical staff, nursing staff, allied health clinicians and other relevant operational staff to deliver high quality dietetic services.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in adult nutrition (acute general medical, enteral nutrition management)
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication skills that facilitate an ability to work
- An ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and provide staff/ community education
- Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Competent computer skills particularly in word processing and Internet use, and the ability to learn dedicated software
- Understanding of the cultural diversity of the community
- Current Victorian Driver License
